Our Clinic Success team is standing by to assist with internal review and approval processes required before using Tidepool. Please consider the following steps and resources for each respective stakeholder within your Clinic or Health System.
If you have questions at any time, please contact Tidepool's Clinic Success team at clinic@tidepool.org.
Typically, there are three groups of stakeholders who will need to review and approve Tidepool for use: Clinical (who will upload, review, and document data), IT (who will manage installation and ongoing updates of Tidepool Uploader), and Legal (to ensure HIPAA compliance).
Clinical
-
- Identify primary clinical contact(s) to coordinate with Tidepool’s Clinic Success team to schedule demos, trainings, planning sessions, and facilitate information sharing across your team.

- As Tidepool Uploader requires Administrator permissions to install, your IT team will be responsible for installing Tidepool Uploader on any computer that will be used to upload patient data. To expedite their process, we recommend identifying primary IT contact to coordinate with Clinic Success team to facilitate answering technical questions related to Tidepool’s software.
- Please share Tidepool’s Public Technical Documentation and Security Information with any IT staff responsible for reviewing and approving Tidepool.
- Please contact clinic@tidepool.org to facilitate responses for IT audits, questionnaires, or any other technical questions that are not answered by Tidepool’s Public Technical Documentation and Security Information.
Legal
-
- If your legal team determines a Business Associate Agreement and/or Software Service Agreement is required for your Clinic or Health System to use Tidepool, please contact clinic@tidepool.org to begin that process.
