This article assumes you have:
- A Tidepool Account - if you do not have a Tidepool account, you can create one for free at tidepool.org/signup.
- Installed the latest version of the Tidepool Uploader - if you have not installed the Tidepool Uploader, you can download the latest version at tidepool.org/uploader.
- A ReliOn Platinum blood glucose meter.
- A micro USB cable to connect your meter to your computer if using USB

1. Connect your Device
- Using a micro USB cable, connect your ReliOn Platinum meter to one of your computer's USB ports.
- Launch Tidepool Uploader and log in to your account.
- Confirm "ReliOn Platinum" is one of your devices. You can change your devices by selecting "Choose Devices" from the menu under your name.
2. Upload
- Confirm Tidepool Uploader is set to the right time zone.
- Click "Upload" to upload your data.
- After the upload is complete, you can upload another device or click "See data" to view your uploaded data.
3. Bluetooth Uploading
If you want to upload your ReliOn Platinum using Bluetooth follow these instructions.
Change Device Selection
- Click on your name at the top right of Tidepool Uploader and select Choose Devices.
- Confirm ReliOn Platinum (using Bluetooth) is selected and click Done.
Pairing
- On the right side of the meter, push and hold the down button until you see the Bluetooth icon appear and a link and wave icon flashing.
- Click Upload in Tidepool Uploader to start the pairing and upload process.
- When the pairing window appears, input the PIN as shown on the back of the meter.
- Click Continue to allow for the upload to take place.
- Click the See Data button in Tidepool Uploader or visit app.tidepool.org in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to view your uploaded data.
Subsequent Bluetooth Uploads (after paired)
- Push and hold the down button until you see the Bluetooth icon appear and a link and wave icon flashing.
- Click Upload in the Tidepool Uploader window.
