This article assumes you have:
- A Clinic Account Workspace with Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled - Configuration will be coordinated between Tidepool and your IT team.
- Installed the latest version of the Tidepool Uploader - SSO is supported as of version 2.53.0 and newer. If you have not installed the Tidepool Uploader, you can download the latest version at tidepool.org/uploader.

1. Tidepool Web
If you are logging into Tidepool for the very first time, you will not need to "Sign Up" for a Tidepool account using your organization's email address and follow the instructions provided.
If a Clinic Account Workspace you were already using has recently enabled SSO, you may need to first link your account.
- Visit app.tidepool.org using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Input your email address and click Next.
- Log into your organization provided account with your password and click the appropriate Next or Login button.

- You must agree to the Tidepool Applications Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.
- Check the box to accept, and then click the Accept button.
- Next, you must update your account with Name and, optionally, your Job Title and NPI.
- Click Submit after you have updated your Name and any of the optional fields.
- You will be redirected to your Clinic Account Workspace where you can now look up patient accounts and proceed with your clinical workflow.
If you were previously logging into Tidepool with a username and password, you may need to Link your Tidepool account to enable SSO. Linking your account is only required once after SSO has been enabled in coordination with your IT team.
After your account has been linked, SSO will be enabled, and you will follow the login procedure detailed above.
2. Tidepool Uploader
Ensure you have Tidepool Uploader 2.53.0 or newer installed on your computer. Visit tidepool.org/download to download the latest version.
- Launch Tidepool Uploader on your computer.
- Click the Login button.
- Your computer's default web browser will launch and present the login prompt.
- Input your email address and click Next.
- Log into your organization-provided account with your password and click the appropriate Next or Login button.

- You must agree to the Tidepool Applications Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.
- Check the box to accept, and then click the Accept button.
- Next, you must update your account with a minimum of your name, and optionally your Job Title and NPI.
- Click Submit after you have updated your name and any of the optional fields.
- You will be redirected to a landing page and your web browser will prompt you to Open Tidepool Uploader.
- Click Open Tidepool Uploader from the dialog and optionally check the box to Always allow so you are not required to do this at each login.
- Tidepool Uploader will refresh, and you will be logged into your account and see the search box for your patient list.
