This article assumes you have:

- Diabetes data uploaded to a Tidepool Web account.
The Basics view is designed to provide a summary of all diabetes interactions over the past few weeks. Almost everything on the Basics page can be clicked on. Section headers filter the data based on different options, and you can click on each of the days to go to the Daily View and see all the diabetes data in that moment.

Date Range Selection
By default, the Basics view shows the most recent 14 days of diabetes data. Click the calendar icon to the right of the displayed date range to select a smaller or larger date range.
Upon clicking the calendar icon, you will be presented with the Chart Date Range window where you have the option of selecting 14, 21, 30, or 90 days via the available buttons.
Alternatively, you can choose a custom start and end date for a custom date range, for up to 90 days.
Changing the date range will cause the data in the Basics view to be updated, including the Summary Widgets and the Copy as text data.
Summary Widgets
Summary widgets along the right side of the page show blood glucose distribution based on CGM or blood glucose meter (BGM) data (this can be toggled), CGM sensor usage, average daily carbs, glucose management indicator (GMI), basal/bolus ratio, and average total daily dose of insulin (based on body weight if entered).
