Connecting your My twiist Portal account to Tidepool Web

This article assumes you have:

  • A Tidepool account — you can create one at tidepool.org/signup
  • A My twiist Portal account

Connect your newly created Tidepool Web account to your My twiist Portal account 

  • Log into Tidepool Web at app.tidepool.org
  • After logging in, click on Connect a Device Account
  • Click Connect to the right of the twiist logo



  • Input your My twiist Portal email and password that you created earlier with your twiist pump trainer
  • Click Sign in
    (If you are already logged into My twiist Portal you may not see the log in screen shown below)



  • Check the box indicating “I agree…” and then click the Accept button



  • Confirm your account linking by clicking Sign in as [youremail@website.com]



  • Your My twiist Portal account is now linked to the Tidepool Data Platform

Connect your already existing Tidepool Web account to your My twiist Portal account

If you already have data in your Tidepool Web account you will not see the Connect an Account option when first logging into your account. Instead, navigate to Devices to link your My twiist Portal account.

  • Log into the Tidepool Data Platform at app.tidepool.org
  • Click on Devices from the menu at the top



  • Click the Connect a Device Account banner at the top of the Devices view



  • Click Connect to the right of the twiist logo



  • Input your My twiist Portal email and password that you created earlier with your twiist pump trainer
  • Click Sign in
    (If you are already logged into My twiist Portal you may not see the log in screen shown below)



  • Check the box indicating “I agree…” and then click the Accept button



  • Confirm your account linking by clicking Sign in as [youremail@website.com]

  • Your My twiist Portal account is now linked to Tidepool Web

Receiving an email invitation from your Diabetes care team to link your My twiist Portal to Tidepool Web

  • Your Diabetes care team may have sent you an email invitiation to link your My twiist Portal account to Tidepool Web so they can view your twiist AID system data
  • If you have been invited, you will receive an email that looks like this



  • Click the Connect your twiist account in the email
  • Input your My twiist Portal email and password that you created earlier with your twiist pump trainer
  • Click Sign in
    (If you are already logged into My twiist Portal you may not see the log in screen shown below)



  • Check the box indicating “I agree…” and then click the Accept button



  • Confirm your account linking by clicking Sign in as [youremail@website.com]

  • You will see a success message from Tidepool to indicate you have successfully linked your My twiist Portal account to Tidepool Web



  • Click Claim My Account if you wish to be able to access this Tidepool Web account that was created by your diabetes care team for you
  • Your My twiist Portal account is now linked to Tidepool Web

Disconnecting your My twiist Portal account from Tidepool Web

  • Log into your My twiist Portal account at mytwiistportal.com
  • Click Sign in and input your email address and password
  • Click Sign in
  • From the page that appears, click Go to Tidepool
  • On the following page click Unlink under Action



  • Confirm this request by clicking the Unlink button



  • My twiist Portal will reflect this change by showing Unlink pending under Status
  • Look for an email to your My twiist Portal email address confirming the unlinking has been completed
