- This applies to all Clinic team members
Clinicians can assign ADA-aligned glycemic targets, the combination of glucose thresholds and goal criteria used to interpret diabetes data, to each patient. Four preset options are available:
- Standard (70–180 mg/dL or 3.9-10.0 mmol/L) — default for most adults
- Older / High Risk (70–180 mg/dL or 3.9-10.0 mmol/L) — for patients needing individualized, looser targets
- Pregnancy (63–140 mg/dL or 3.5-7.8 mmol/L) — for pregnant patients with Type 1 Diabetes
- Pregnancy (63–140 mg/dL or 3.5-7.8 mmol/L) — for pregnant patients with Gestational or Type 2 Diabetes
By default, all patients are assigned the Standard Glycemic Target.
For Tidepool views that include the Time in Range widget (Basics, Daily, BG Log, and Trends), you will see a note indicating the patient is using non-standard targets and their target range.
The BG Readings section of the Basics view will show a filter for readings above the top of the target. For example, for patients assigned the Pregnancy glycemic target, the filter will show 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L).
The Copy as Text feature will also display the target range Time in Range as set by the clinician, but does not currently display which Glycemic Target was configured.
The PDF report reflects the glycemic target as set by the clinician and in the AGP section notes what target is set, and shows the ADA guidance for percentage of times in range for those glycemic targets.
