Accessing the TIDE Dashboard
From your patient list, click on the TIDE Dashboard View button
If this is your first time accessing the TIDE Dashboard, you will be presented with the Filter the TIDE Dashboard window where you must configure your data filter. The TIDE Dashboard will load with the options of your previously selected filter options the next time you access it.
- Select Patient Tag(s) - Only patients with ALL of the tags you select below will be shown. At least one patient tag must be selected to filter for the TIDE Dashboard.
- Data Recency - Tidepool will only show patients who have CGM data within the selected number of days.
- Number of Days to Summarize - Tidepool will generate health summaries for the selected number of days.

Reviewing data in the Glycemic Categories
The TIDE Dashboard automatically prioritizes your patients based on their glycemic data, ensuring you see the patients who need your attention most. Each patient appears only once in the dashboard, in the highest-priority category they qualify for.
The dashboard evaluates every patient against a series of risk categories in priority order. Once a patient meets the criteria for a category, they are placed there and will not appear in any lower-priority categories—even if they meet those criteria too.
Priority Categories (Highest to Lowest Risk)
Time below 54 mg/dL > 1%
What it means: Patients spending more than 1% of their time in severe hypoglycemia (below 54 mg/dL).
How patients are sorted: By percent time below 54 mg/dL, from highest to lowest. Patients with the most time in severe hypoglycemia appear first.
Time below 70 mg/dL > 4%
What it means: Patients spending more than 4% of their time in hypoglycemia (below 70 mg/dL).
How patients are sorted: By percent time below 70 mg/dL, from highest to lowest.
Note: Patients who already appeared in the severe hypoglycemia category will not appear here, even if they also meet this criteria.
Large Drop in Time in Range > 15%
What it means: Patients whose Time in Range has decreased by more than 15 percentage points compared to their previous period.
How patients are sorted: By percent change in Time in Range, from largest drop to smallest. Patients with the biggest declines appear first.
Time above 180 mg/dL > 25%
What it means: Patients spending more than 25% of their time above target range (above 180 mg/dL).
How patients are sorted: By percent time above 180 mg/dL, from highest to lowest.
Note: This category will catch patients with significant time in mild-to-moderate hyperglycemia who don't meet the Very High criteria.
Time above 250 mg/dL > 5%
What it means: Patients spending more than 5% of their time in very high hyperglycemia (above 250 mg/dL).
How patients are sorted: By percent time above 250 mg/dL, from highest to lowest.
Low CGM Wear Time < 70%
What it means: Patients wearing their CGM less than 70% of the time.
How patients are sorted: By percent CGM wear time, from lowest to highest. Patients with the least CGM data appear first.
Meeting Targets
What it means: Patients who don't meet any of the above risk criteria.
How patients are sorted: By percent Time in Range, from highest to lowest. Patients with the best glycemic control appear first.
How you can use it: This section is useful if you want to incorporate positive feedback as a part of a remote monitoring program.
Understanding Force Ranking
One Patient, One Category
Each patient appears in exactly one category—the highest-priority category they qualify for. This prevents you from seeing the same patient multiple times and ensures your attention goes to their most pressing issue.
Example Scenario - Multiple Risk Factors
Patient Profile: 6% time <54 mg/dL, 8% time <70 mg/dL, 7% time >250 mg/dL, TIR 45%
Where they appear: "Time below 54 mg/dL > 1%" category only
Why: Although this patient meets criteria for several risk categories, severe hypoglycemia takes priority
Clinical Workflow Tips
Start at the top: Review patients in the highest-priority categories first
No duplicates: If you're looking for a specific patient, remember they'll only appear in one category
Priority-based intervention: Use the dashboard's ranking to guide your outreach efforts, focusing on the highest-risk patients first
TIDE Review Panel
Clicking the name of the patient under the Patient Name heading opens up the TIDE Review Panel where you can see a summary of changes to the patient's Time in Range compared to the last time period, their AGP report, and a Stacked Daily View. Learn more in Navigating the TIDE Review Panel.
Data Issues
Up to 50 patients who meet the TIDE Dashboard filter criteria, but have Dexcom connectivity issues will show up in the Data Issues section.
Hover over the Dexcom Connection Status for Error States or No Pending Connections and click View to bring up the Bring Data into Tidepool screen. Learn more in Managing patients with data issues in the TIDE Dashboard.
From the Bring Data into Tidepool window, you can click Resend Invite to allow your patient to fix their Dexcom account's connection to Tidepool.
Editing Patient Details
From the TIDE Dashboard, you can click on the vertical ellipse icon ( ⋮ ) and click Edit Patient Information to update the patient's information like Name, DOB, MRN, Diabetes Type, Target Range, Site, or Tags. Read more in Editing Patient Details.
Alternatively, you can click Bring Data into Tidepool to bring up the cloud to cloud invitation options for that patient.
