This article assumes you:
- Have a Tidepool Clinician account — Only Clinician users can use two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Have 2FA already enabled — Need to set it up? See Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Clinician users can remove 2FA from their account should they want to. Tidepool recommends using 2FA for Clinician users as an extra layer of security.
- Click on [Your Name] at the top right of the page.
- Click on Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
- On the Account Settings page, click on Disable 2FA
- Click I understand to confirm your request to disable 2FA
- Click the Delete button to remove your phone that has your 2FA codes
- You are now set to log in with email and password only.
- You can re-enable 2FA at any time by starting over with Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
