Prepare to connect with your patients

The Tidepool Data Platform is designed to help you connect with your patients and their data in a meaningful way.

Our most successful clinics communicate with their patients about the transition to Tidepool ahead of time to avoid confusion.

The Tidepool Clinic Success team has created some message templates for you to use to tell your patients about Tidepool. We have versions of this for each enrollment pathway (clinician-initiated versus patient-initiated) and for telemedicine as well. 

Here are a few key steps and processes to keep in mind as you enroll your patients:

Managing your patient list

  1. Add patients to your Patient List
  2. Remove patients as needed
  3. Edit patient to add MRN or email

Connecting with Dexcom

  1. Connect a patient’s account to Dexcom

Enabling patients to view and upload data from home

  1. Invite a patient to claim the Tidepool account you created for them
  2. Resend an email to your patient allowing them to claim their Tidepool account

Empowering patients to share their data with your Clinic Account Workspace

  1. Use your Clinic Share Code
  2. Accept a patient’s share invitation
